  • Industrial design as a technology of competition

Industrial design has already become a meaningful factor in the growth of the modern industry. The high quality and professional design сreates new opportunities and shapes brand culture, enhancing the self-esteem of employees. However, this is still not the case in Russia. There are still difficulties even in understanding the term and only a few people could feel the positive impact of industrial design on production. What are the challenges, what steps are underway, which solutions already exist?

Programmer or a journalist: who owns the future of the Old New Media?

Modern technology is changing media and journalism. On the one hand, journalists are being replaced by robots with artificial intelligence, which are creating news reports. On the other hand, under the influence of technology, journalism itself is changing and transforming from classic textual formats into visual transmedia projects, podcasts, and infographics. Coders are coming to the forefront, and marketers are offering digital ways of delivering content. How will journalism evolve in the future? Why will journalists need to be able to work with big data? How will traditional media use technology to create content? Will media projects being created by programmers and marketers have a future?

    Партнерская сессия

    Partner’s session at MEDIANA

The digital environment of content delivery has long been interactive; ad inventory works in a different way as compared to digital channels; online viewing is growing faster than revenues. Content consumption is actively migrating to digital channels and advertisers have to follow them. Are new tools for ad strength still emerging and why the competition between media companies, Internet holdings, and ecosystems of vendors of consumer electronics is dangerous?

Content wars: how to make money on your music

    Партнерская сессия

    Partner session of IPEX

The market of content production and consumption is growing at an unbelievable rate. We have seen a steady interest of big brands in native advertising in Instagram accounts and YouTube channels of well-known bloggers and micro-influencers. Today, an influencer becomes the salesperson, not just a creative individual. Ads in blogs enable someone to tell about practically all goods and services. However, very few bloggers think about respecting other people's intellectual rights. Most of them simply don’t realize that they need to ask permission from the rights holder. Today, the music synchronization market in Russia totals $19.6 million. It suggests that most of the deals are closed on the shadow market.

Today, a large number of results of creative activity are created in the digital environment, some art industries are gradually conquering the digital market, others can no longer exist outside of it. In the context of the pandemic, cultural activities were forced to “go online,” but many creative spheres were well prepared for this. In addition, some areas, for example, the implementation of the constitutional right to access cultural property, to use cultural institutions, digital tools for accounting for intangible assets, received additional incentives for creative development. Always sensitive to technical innovations, creative rights respond quickly to new opportunities and circumstances, pushing practitioners, legislators and all stakeholders to find adequate solutions.

Between offline and online. Hybrid formats of theatrical and entertainment events and non-live actors

The introduction of new technologies in the theater is associated with changes in shorthand imagery, with the development of socio-aesthetic features, with the perception of the entertainment of the action and the growing influence of the technical equipment of the theater, contributing to the creation of new genres and forms of art, with changes in the nature of the dialogue between the work of art and the viewer. Digitalization allows you to organize performances inside computer games – a vivid example is the "Cherry Orchard" in the game Minecraft, staged by the Bolshoi Drama Theater. Tovstonogova. At the same time, in new formats, you can attract digital avatars of departed talents and "resurrect" them on the screen. This opens up new creative perspectives for the authors. How did economic and aesthetic considerations influence the fusion of new technologies and theater? How do modern digital technologies influence the formation of the plot of performances?

    Music in media

Today, the phenomenon of professionally made music in media is important to both the real world and the world of the ruthless Internet. Who is a media composer today - musician, designer, playwright, producer? He has many faces and competencies. His works accompany our life, filling with emotions, but remaining defenseless in new formats of communication with the audience. Will their law protect society? The pressing issue regarding digital media and the film-composer community is, of course, the legalization of relationships. Will experts and opinion leaders be able to come to a common solution to the problem?
