Manufacturer of gas burners decided to make a similar logo to Tesla'x mark

A Russian manufacturer of gas burners for heating boilers intends to register a trademark that copies the American electric car manufacturer Tesla's logo almost exactly. According to «Open Media», the Russian company sees no obstacles to the implementation of its plans, since it believes that it works in a completely different field than the American one.

The application to register the stylized "T" logo was submitted by "Tula Burners." According to «RBC Companies», the founder of the company is ZIOSAB CJSC, with a founding capital of 100,000 rubles.

Their main activity is the production of non-electric furnaces, burners and other devices for them. Among the other business areas indicated in the organization's profile are the repair of machinery and equipment, construction of municipal electrical and telecommunications facilities and the development of computer software.

"'Tula Burners' were able to freely apply for registration,' said a company representative to Open Media. "We have a trademark in a completely different field relative to Tesla," he explained. "If we somehow stepped onto their territory, then of course we would be refused. Or there would be questions."

According to experts, the Tula company may never see their logo registered if experts decide that the products to which the existing Tesla trademark applies and the Russian company's products are homogeneous. The American electric vehicle manufacturer registered its brand with the Federal Service for Intellectual Property in 2018.
